Current opportunities we are looking into include the following:
Local Engineering Resources: Coordination with the District Conservationist with the Natural Resources Conservation Service to have a water engineer map and evaluate our lateral. This will be in coordination with Todd Peplin of the Deschutes Soil and Water Conservation District (Todd was also instrumental in the Lundy lateral linked to the left).
Small-Scale Water Efficiency Projects: https://www.epa.gov/fedfunds/bureau-reclamations-watersmart-grants
Would require AID to apply on our behalf, which the coordinator advised is completely possible.
We have joined the email list and are currently waiting on more information.
OWEB Small Grant Program: https://www.oregon.gov/oweb/grants/small-grants/Pages/small-grants.aspx
Response from Kathy Leopold that grants are available for situations like ours, up to $15,000.
Grants require a TIN. Tami MacLeod is working on what sort of legal structure would make sense for us, if necessary.
I specifically asked Kathy if AID could apply on our behalf and she said that they could.
